Bangkok Design Week (Pavilion)

Bangkok Design Week (BKKDW) proposes the prominence of Bangkok’s design and creative works. Through these works, the festival presents ambitious ideas and new possibilities of Bangkok, now and in the future.

Celebrated in the creative districts, these creative works range from experimental pieces to the works with social and business impacts. With fun activities and memorable experiences, the festival is blended beautifully with the charm of Bangkok and attracts visitors from across the world to experience Bangkok’s latest happening.

Pavilion designing

As a co-designer who worked in Plural Design company, I was in charge of creating a pavilion for presenting student’s work in Bangkok Design Week event. The concept of this pavilion was friendly open for audience to interact with exhibited work by using layers of recycled plastic sheets which created thin, translucent, and stiff walls. Audience would experience two different exhibitions which located on both sides of the pavilion.

Additionally, due to the huge size of pavilion which was aimed to be a focal point of the building, the structure was designed and divided into several parts. Divining structure helped organizers to assemble, dissemble, and move the pavilion during the event.
